Talk to Us: You Are Not Alone

‘Samaritans, can I help you?’ Those five simple words at the other end of a telephone line (or, more recently, in instant chat, text or email), have been a lifeline for untold numbers of people who have felt desperate, hopeless, overwhelmed and that holding onto life is just too much.

The basic premise of the Samaritans is that the supportive presence of another human being can make the difference. It speaks to the transformative power of connection, of care, of listening without judgement.

Despair is lonely. You are not alone.

‘Talk to Us’ Day is the 24th July. In solidarity with The Samaritans, with all those who are feeling that they can’t go on and with all those who support those in crisis, we want to say, Talk to Us. You are not alone. We care. You matter.

Training: Suicide & Forcibly Displaced People

We offer training on Suicide and Forcibly Displaced People, designed for professionals and volunteers working with refugees, people seeking asylum, and other displaced communities. This training explores trauma-informed, culturally responsive approaches to supporting people at risk of suicide.  We also offer therapeutic supervision for staff who work in helping professions.

Our next date is to be confirmed, but if you’re interested, please get in touch via our contact page or sign up to our newsletter to be kept in the loop.
