Every £1 you donate will be doubled!

Until midday 9th December, you can make twice the difference for refugees rebuilding their lives. For the first time ever, Trauma Foundation South West is taking part in the Big Give Christmas Challenge, the UK’s biggest match-funding campaign.

Every £1 you donate will be DOUBLED at no extra cost to you. Your £10 becomes £20. Your £50 becomes £100. Together, we can reach our goal of £2,250, which will become £4,500 towards long-term trauma therapy for refugees and people seeking sanctuary across the South West of England.

Donate now - Every £ will be doubled!

Why This Matters

Across the South West, up to 14,000 resettled refugees and people seeking asylum live with severe trauma from war, torture, persecution, and dangerous journeys to reach the UK. Many cannot access NHS mental health services due to long waiting lists, culturally unsafe systems, and services not designed for refugee experiences. Even those with suicidal thoughts can be turned away.

Our free, specialist, long-term refugee trauma therapy offers safe, confidential support from skilled therapists, helping people rebuild their lives with hope and dignity. We create consistent, compassionate spaces where people are heard, supported, and valued.

Lives Transformed - Amir’s Story

This is a huge moment for us - and for the people we support. Your donation will go twice as far to provide life-saving therapy for individuals who have survived war, persecution, and forced displacement, helping them to find stability and hope again.

One client, “Amir”, who faced a critical immigration hearing while experiencing suicidal thoughts, shared:

“If you weren’t here with me, I don’t know what would have happened… When I went into court, I was hallucinating… Then I remembered what you said… and gradually, because you were there, I was able to calm down.”

Double the difference for refugees

Right now, during our first-ever match-funding campaign, your support means double:

  • £50 becomes £112.50 (inc. gift aid) providing private 1:1 therapy with interpretation

  • £20 becomes £45.00 (inc. gift aid) funding immediate access to group art therapy

  • £10 becomes £22.50 (inc. gift aid) ensuring a safe space for private counselling

Together we can ensure more people like Amir continue their healing journey - with skilled, compassionate therapists by their side.

What You Can Do
