Excellent feedback for TFSW’s training programme in Somerset

Through this 13-month training programme, Somerset County Council Public Health funding has supported 109 mental health and support workers to feel more confident about working effectively with interpreters, 10 interpreters to feel better equipped to work in mental health settings, and 38 hosts or workers to feel better equipped to support their own self-care and avoid vicarious trauma.

One participant said:

"The training was refreshingly natural and relaxed; the trainers had a wealth of experience and it showed in their comfortable delivery. It has made me think about how I approach using interpreters in my work."
